I relocated to Asheville from Princeton NJ in 1998. In NJ I worked at Princeton University in the Art Department and ran a successful Landscape Design business. I also bought my first house there in 1992 – a real fixer upper! I spent the next
few years totally rehabbing this house, learning as I went along.
That renovation in Princeton proved to be a turning point for me. I immersed myself in the building trades and learned everything that I could about real estate investing.
A chance visit to Asheville opened my eyes to the beauty of the region and its people. I decided that I wanted to relocate and bought my first investment property in Asheville in 1997.In 1998 I moved here and bought my second property. I was hooked! I have been working in the housing industry ever since.
In 2003 I got my North Carolina General Contractors License and since then I have done countless remodeling and building projects in the area. I worked for a time as a mortgage loan officer and then got my Real Estate License in 2008.
As co-owner of City Real Estate everything has come together, I am able to put all of my skills to use. My primary position here is as the Property Maintenance Coordinator. I ensure that all of the investment properties under our care are
properly maintained. I also evaluate homes and advise the owner how to prepare them for sale or rent. When acting as a sales agent I team up with my partner Dev Thomas.
When not at the office I enjoy traveling, pottery and jewelry making and my new found interest in natural building.
