I earned my North Carolina real estate license in 2001. I have always been a full time Realtor. I initially worked with a local real estate franchise and was consistently their top-producer. In 2006 I realized that I wanted to be part of a smaller team and work in a more boutique-style environment. I co-founded City Real Estate with a group of experienced Realtors, and was the Broker-In-Charge for over 10 years. The success of this small business has been the result of deep knowledge, enthusiasm and integrity. To be good at real estate you have to understand an area and its population intimately.

I first moved to Asheville in 1983, drawn by the intense gravity created by the artistic and creative energy in such a beautiful area. My first business venture was the co- founding of Mountain Food Products, a local wholesale produce company specializing in locally grown and gourmet fruits and vegetables. This was in the early days of Asheville’s looming culinary horizon. It was an honor to help usher in that gourmet food wave. My next adventure was to leave Western North Carolina and live in the San Francisco Bay Area and Europe for the next 8 Years. Managing a natural food store in San Francisco and working with Brevard College’s Student Abroad program in Austria added greatly to my world views and perceptions. I was drawn back to Asheville and a career in real estate was a logical way back into the business culture. I have never looked back and feel very grateful to also be a part of another wave: Asheville’s vibrant real estate community. It feels like an opportunity to utilize the skills I have learned along the way, and it pleases me greatly to be in service to people wanting to find their place in the Asheville Area.

I work with buyers and sellers. I am comfortable in the downtown market and the rural communities surrounding Asheville. I understand the needs of investors, first time home buyers and those clients who desire the luxury market. It is this eclectic mix of folks who want to call Asheville home that keeps me happy doing my job.
